University of Wisconsin–Madison

Opportunities

We invite students, families, and community members to get involved, whether through research participation or joining our team.

Student Involvement

The WISC lab highly values student contributions! Our students are responsible for a number of
tasks which all directly contribute to the specific aims of the research. By participating in the work of the lab, students gain a better understanding of research protocols, including participant
recruitment, data management, and using a variety of analytical techniques to answer research
questions that directly inform clinical practice.

Student employees are responsible for making sure all the recording information accurately
captures each moment of your visit. Students then break down the audio and video into the
components we need to run analyzes and interpret the results. Students also pitch in with record
keeping and help to keep all the information appropriately stored in our database.
The WISC lab generally has openings every semester for new students to join the lab.

  • Course credit for the undergraduate Honors program
  • Paid student hourly position
  • Unpaid volunteer opportunities
